Empowering Youth Through Life Coaching and Vision Casting
For those acquainted with me, they’re aware of my dedication to youth mentorship. My coaching doesn’t revolve around traditional sports but revolves around the game of life. Today’s message encapsulates the essence of belief. A profound lesson I once learned from Pastor Randy in New Orleans is to “See it, until you say it; then say it until you see it.” This wisdom resonates with the youth I mentor, shaping their perspective and empowering their vision.
Starbucks: A Partner and Family in Empowering Community Dreams

Pictured here is Kevin Johnson, the dynamic CEO of Starbucks, during an event at Children of Mine. Over the past two years, Starbucks has emerged as more than just a supportive partner; they’ve become a cornerstone of our community. A special mention to Ty Shumate, the dedicated manager of Anacostia Starbucks. His passion mirrors mine, especially when it comes to the community we tirelessly serve. The camaraderie shared with the entire Starbucks crew goes beyond partnerships – we’re essentially a family.
The Power of Vision and Belief
With the community and the youth, I always emphasize the importance of belief. To truly achieve, one must first visualize their goal, even if the path seems unclear or the dream too vast. It’s crucial to cast a vision that might be beyond others’ comprehension. Not everyone will grasp your vision just because you perceive it. Nor will they comprehend it merely because you articulate it. However, when your vision materializes, it will undeniably speak for itself.
Always remember: “See it until you say it, then say it until you see it.” The journey is about believing before witnessing, not the other way around.
